Il mondo altrove: una storia notturna is a choreographic pièce which celebrates the motion of an unexplored world.

The pièce traces an ideal path between West and Orient and it’s freely inspired by South America’s indigenous rituals, Japanese’s symbols of Nō theater and music research of Giacinto Scelsi.

The pièce presents a shamanic figure finely adorned moves forward to lead a magical and timeless ceremony. His movement and the features of his face offer the ritual of a possible different tradition to our gaze, acted inside a sacred space that collects the result of a harmonious coexistence between natural habitat and human action.

A gestural dialogue – as expression of mutual support, perpetual gift, universal communion – is disclosed, inviting us to decipher the “hieroglyphs” of this unknown and wild civilization and rediscovering own humanity in the reflection of the encounter.
